The building was designed by Spanish architect Ivan Mata, who consulted acoustically for the volumes of the Music Room and Control Room, and with the collaboration of surveyor Mauro Arnaudo.
Following ecological criteria, the structure is built of XLam wood by the Bonelli Legnami sawmill.
The Music Room, measuring 51m2, is highly insulated and has acoustic characteristics that were already researched in the design of its shape, materials and volume.
It will be equipped with acoustic and electronic instruments.
It will be equipped with a surround sound system, and high-end recording equipment.
It is designed for rehearsing, recording, live-streaming, organising open houses at the end of residencies...
The 10m2 Control Room communicates directly with the Music Room and will be equipped with sound-absorbing material.
In these spaces we will offer skills and knowledge in the fields of composition, sound creation, musical research, spatialisation, and sound installation technologies. Technological knowledge developed at the Ircam Institute of Musical Research in Paris will be available.
At the end of construction we will publish the list of available material.
The RaRio Space is designed to accommodate artists also in medium to long term residencies. It is equipped with guest rooms and a communal kitchen-living room.
